Dr. Jami Taylor, professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, comments on the latest attempt by an executive in Nassau County, New York, to bar transgender women from participating in girls' and women's sports on county property, including the precedent the U.S. Supreme Court set when it when it allowed a transgender female athlete the right to compete with other women at the U.S. Open in 1977.
