The Toledo football team continues a season of many firsts in Head Coach Mike Jacobs’ era, as the Rockets return home for the “Biggest Party in Toledo” against Central Connecticut State at Glass Bowl Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.<\/p>\n

After a slow start to its week one matchup at Michigan State, the Rockets rallied from as many as 13 down to take a 20-19 lead early in the fourth quarter. However, the Spartans scored the final 11 points of the game for a 30- 20 MSU victory in East Lansing. Toledo will begin a three-game homestand with the Week 2 matchup, hosting CCSU, Temple and San Diego St. to close out September.<\/p>\n

The Rockets were a perfect 6-0 at the Glass Bowl a season ago, defeating opponents by a whopping 38.2 points per game. Toledo puts a 25-game winning streak against FCS schools on the line in Saturday’s matchup, having routed Morgan State 60-0 last season. CCSU fell to No. 11 South Dakota 59-20 on Aug. 29 before an off week.<\/p>\n
