The University of Toledo\u2019s 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is complete and available online.<\/p>\n
The report includes information about crime prevention, emergency procedures, incident reporting and crime statistics, both on and adjacent to the University\u2019s campuses.<\/p>\n
In compliance with the Clery Act, the annual report also includes reported campus crime statistics for the past three years, as well as information about campus safety and the University\u2019s security policies. UToledo\u2019s previous Security and Fire Safety Reports \u2014 for 2013 through 2026 \u2014 are publicly available and may be accessed on the Department of Internal Audit and Compliance\u2019s Clery Act Compliance website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cOur No. 1 goal is keeping our students, faculty, staff, patients and visitors safe,\u201d said Elliott Nickeson, who compiles the report. \u201cEnsuring everyone\u2019s safety on campus requires ongoing collaboration among campus community members, as well as external partners such as law enforcement officers, emergency responders and local leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf an emergency or crime-related incident arises, it\u2019s important that all stakeholders know what to do, including how to report it and to whom,” Nickeson said.<\/p>\n \u201cPublishing our annual Security and Fire Safety Report is one more way the University can educate students and others about the importance of safety, how carefully we\u2019re monitoring reported occurrences and specifically what we\u2019re doing to continually improve our efforts to keep everyone safe on campus,\u201d Nickeson added.<\/p>\n
