{"id":15540,"date":"2012-01-19T04:25:54","date_gmt":"2012-01-19T09:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utnews.utoledo.edu\/?p=15540"},"modified":"2012-01-17T13:59:52","modified_gmt":"2012-01-17T18:59:52","slug":"u-s-news-recognizes-business-innovation-engineering-online-graduate-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/01_19_2012\/u-s-news-recognizes-business-innovation-engineering-online-graduate-programs","title":{"rendered":"U.S. News recognizes Business &#038; Innovation, Engineering online graduate programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Online graduate offerings in the colleges of Business and Innovation and Engineering are among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News &#038; World Report\u2019s Best Colleges 2012 rankings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/webUS_NEWS_ONLINE_BIZ.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/webUS_NEWS_ONLINE_BIZ.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Print\" width=\"215\" height=\"220\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15553\" \/><\/a>The online offering of courses in The University of Toledo\u2019s Master of Business Administration Program was ranked second nationally in the area of Student Services and Technology, and No. 42 for Student Engagement and Accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>The College of Engineering\u2019s online graduate programs were ranked seventh nationally in Admissions Selectivity, No. 12 in Student Services and Technology, and No. 24 in Student Engagement and Accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Thomas Gutteridge, dean of the College of Business and Innovation, said the rankings underline the excellence of UT\u2019s online MBA offerings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a success the entire college can take ownership of,\u201d Gutteridge said. \u201cOur online MBA students are often balancing school with a career that is increasingly likely to be global in scope. We\u2019ve developed high-tech online programs that don\u2019t sacrifice the personal interaction that will always remain a critical component of a top-tier MBA Program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/webUS_NEWS_ONLINE_ENG.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/webUS_NEWS_ONLINE_ENG.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Print\" width=\"215\" height=\"220\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15554\" \/><\/a>Dr. Nagi Naganathan, dean of the College of Engineering, said the rankings were further evidence the college had developed relevant online educational experiences consistent with the needs of professionals seeking to advance their careers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are a college committed to invention and innovation at the very core of our being, and I\u2019m proud of the way we\u2019ve been able to translate that spirit and attitude into the way we deliver our curriculum,\u201d Naganathan said.<\/p>\n<p>Gutteridge and Naganathan praised the faculty and staff in their respective colleges as being key to the online programs\u2019 success. In addition, Gutteridge thanked Dr. Anand S. Kunnathur, professor and senior associate dean, Dr. Robert Detwiler, graduate program adviser, and Cory Marshall, senior computer instructional technology administrator. <\/p>\n<p>Naganathan called special attention to the efforts of Dr. W.
