Almost everything that somebody buys, eats, wears, drives, does or uses \u2014 from picking up a gallon of milk at a local grocery store to going with friends on a Las Vegas vacation \u2014 requires transportation.  <\/p>\n<p>To succeed in this fast-growing field requires information, and that information now can be obtained in a manner that requires very little transportation: through the online intermodal transportation technology associate degree offered by The University of Toledo College of Business and Innovation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transportation industry is all about service, and UT\u2019s online delivery of content for the intermodal transportation technology degree is all about convenience,\u201d said Emily Creamer, academic adviser in the College of Business and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The transportation courses offered for this degree cover topics such as all available transportation in the marketplace; regulatory issues within the industry; experience using current technology used within the industry; understanding the process of the raw materials to the finished product; delivery of the product to the consumer; and the perspective of this field from the logistics side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an exciting field to enter because the United States\u2019 extensive and sophisticated transportation system makes a high degree of freight movement and personal mobility possible.
