Bacik<\/p><\/div>The Rev. James J. Bacik, former pastor of Corpus Christi University Parish and UT adjunct professor of humanities, will deliver the Sixth Annual Gandhi Lecture Sunday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Richard and Jane McQuade Law Center Auditorium.<\/P><\/p>\n

His talk it titled “Truth-Force: Exploring Gandhi’s Response to Violence.”\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n

Bacik is the author of Catholic Spirituality, Its History and Challenge; Tensions in the Church: Facing Challenges and Seizing Opportunity; Spirituality in Transition;<\/em> and Spirituality in Action.<\/em> <\/p>\n

Richard P. McBrien, professor of theology at Notre Dame University, has called Bacik “one of America’s finest, most insightful theologians.”\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n

The free, public lecture is sponsored by the College of Languages, Literature and Social Sciences. Free parking is available in Lot 12 by the Law Center. \u2028\u2028<\/p>\n
