{"id":26968,"date":"2013-10-25T04:31:59","date_gmt":"2013-10-25T09:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utnews.utoledo.edu\/?p=26968"},"modified":"2013-10-21T15:12:58","modified_gmt":"2013-10-21T20:12:58","slug":"nominations-sought-for-2014-varsity-t-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/10_25_2013\/nominations-sought-for-2014-varsity-t-hall-of-fame","title":{"rendered":"Nominations sought for 2014 Varsity &#8216;T&#8217; Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations for the 2014 class of the Varsity &#8216;T&#8217; Hall of Fame are being accepted through Friday, Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/thumb-rocket-color-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/thumb-rocket-color-logo.jpg\" alt=\"thumb-rocket-color-logo\" width=\"216\" height=\"125\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-18020\" \/><\/a>The Hall of Fame Banquet will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, in Savage Arena, with the 2014 class being presented at the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s basketball games Sunday, Feb. 23.<\/P><\/p>\n<p><P>Nominations may come from any source. Nominations from previous years automatically carry over to the next year.<\/p>\n<p>Nomination criteria are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Any athlete who has performed with distinction at The University of Toledo. The athlete need not necessarily be a graduate.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Any athlete who has been out of UT for at least five years and who has demonstrated good citizenship since leaving the University. For the 2014 class, nominees must not have been active on or after July 1, 2008.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Any coach, administrator, trainer, etc. who has served the University with distinction for a period of at least five years and who has been retired or resigned or otherwise disenfranchised from his\/her position for a period of at least five years.
