Ernestine \u201cErnie\u201d Shepherd, a 77-year-old world-famous bodybuilder, will visit The University of Toledo to share her inspiring story Friday, Dec. 13.<\/p>\n

Shepherd<\/p><\/div>She will speak at 2 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center Oak Room. A meet-and-greet will follow the free, public talk.<\/P><\/p>\n

\u201cErnestine Shepherd, \u2018Ernie,\u2019 is a personal trainer, a professional model, a competitive bodybuilder, and happier and more fulfilled than she\u2019s ever been in her life,\u201d Chauncey Whitehead, health and fitness expert who works with her, said. \u201cAt 77, she enjoys walking and has run numerous marathons. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe is always willing to help others achieve a healthier lifestyle,\u201d he said. \u201cHer mantra is \u2018determined, dedicated to be fit.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The 5-foot-5-inch woman who weighs 130 is a fan of Sylvester Stallone\u2019s \u201cRocky\u201d movies.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Stallone] is my man, and I would love to meet him one day,\u201d she said on her website, ernestineshepherd.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Winner of the \u201cWorld\u2019s Oldest Competitive Female Bodybuilder\u201d from the Guinness Book of World Records<\/em> in 2010 and 2011, Shepherd has been featured on \u201cGood Morning America,\u201d \u201cAnderson Cooper 360,\u201d \u201cInside Edition,\u201d \u201cThe Mo\u2019Nique Show\u201d and \u201cRipley\u2019s Believe it or Not!\u201d<\/p>\n
