The University of Toledo\u2019s Learning Enhancement Center will hold its ninth annual Olympiad Monday through Thursday, Sept. 21-24, in Student Union Room 2592.<\/p>\n

The Olympiad is a four-day series of fun, interactive and informative learning experiences addressing academic and personal issues that college students face. The center will offer 56 workshops over the four days.<\/p>\n

Presented in a workshop format, Olympiad events will include several topics, including \u201cSimple Self-Defense Techniques,\u201d \u201cTop Ten List of Academic Strategies,\u201d \u201c50 Minutes to a Better Memory,\u201d \u201cShow That Test Who\u2019s Boss,\u201d \u201cWhat\u2019s Food Got to Do With It\u201d and \u201cHelp! My Professor Is an Alien!\u201d<\/p>\n

More than 4,800 students attended last year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

This year the Learning Enhancement Center partnered with the Office of Accessibility, Career Services, Carlson Library, Community Wellness & Health Programs, UT Counseling Center, First-Year Experience Program, Health Education, Huntington Bank, Information Technology, Office of the President, Student Athletic Academic Services, Student Recreation Center, Student Support Services, Urban Affairs Center and the UT Learning Collaborative to put together the event.<\/p>\n

The Learning Enhancement Center provides academic assistance to all UT students by offering free tutoring in science, math, business, foreign language and study strategies, as well as supplemental instruction by peer-led study sessions.<\/p>\n

The center is located on the Main Campus in the Rathbun Cove in the lower level of Carlson Library. No appointment is required.<\/p>\n
