The Student Union and Carlson Library will fully reopen to the public Friday, May 29, following the completion of repairs to water lines to the buildings.<\/p>\n
Water was restored to the buildings Thursday afternoon, and restroom facilities can be used. <\/p>\n
The drinking fountains, however, will remain closed while the buildings are under a boil water drinking advisory.<\/p>\n
Food service in the Student Union will reopen after Toledo-Lucas County Health Department officials test the water and the drinking water advisory is lifted. <\/p>\n
During the summer months Starbucks, Subway, Magic Wok and Phoenica Cuisine are open on weekdays. Starbucks is open form 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Subway and Magic Wok are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Phoenicia Cuisine\u2019s hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate everyone\u2019s patience and understanding as we worked to address this issue,\u201d said Jason Toth, associate vice president of facilities.<\/p>\n
Following a water main break earlier this month, approximately 100 feet of waterlines to the union and library buildings were replaced.
