A University association will host weekly luncheons featuring the UT athletic community.<\/p>\n

The Downtown Coaches Association is an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging interest in The University of Toledo athletics program. Members and guests will have the opportunity to attend a weekly buffet lunch that will feature talks from different members of UT\u2019s athletic community. <\/p>\n

\"Downtown<\/a>The cost of lunch is $14, and anyone interested in Rocket athletics is encouraged to attend. Annual membership dues are $40 for those who choose to join the organization. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Downtown Coaches Association has been an instrumental support group for Rocket athletic programs for several decades,\u201d said David Nottke, senior associate athletic director. \u201cMembers get the up-close and personal look inside of Rocket athletics. Our coaches and student-athletes are regular guests on our Monday luncheon programs.\u201d <\/p>\n

The opening luncheon on Monday, Aug. 31, will feature UT Football Coach Matt Campbell with a report and Football Equipment Manager Jeremy Boyd with a demonstration on what it takes to outfit and protect players. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at noon. <\/p>\n

UT President Sharon Gaber will speak at the second luncheon, which will be Tuesday, Sept. 8, due to the Labor Day holiday. <\/p>\n

Lunches then will continue each Monday until winter break. After winter break, luncheons will resume Monday, Jan. 4. <\/p>\n
