A retirement in Student Disability Services will mean a familiar face will have a new title.<\/p>\n
Toni Howard, director of student disability services, will retire from the University July 15.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have long benefited from Toni\u2019s tenure with the University and her deep commitment to serving and advocating for students with disabilities,\u201d David Cutri, executive director of internal audit and chief compliance officer, wrote in a letter to the President\u2019s Advisory Council.\u00a0 \u201cShe has assembled a strong and student-centered team, and her leadership will be truly missed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Enjie Hall, the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance officer for the University, will replace Howard as director of campus accessibility and student disability services. She will continue to serve as UT\u2019s Americans with Disabilities Act compliance officer in addition to her new duties and will report directly to Cutri.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose of us that have worked with Enjie at UT appreciate the focus and direction that she has provided to ensure that all students, faculty and staff with disabilities receive the support that they need to maximize their potential,\u201d Cutri wrote.<\/p>\n
Hall\u2019s appointment will be effective July 16.<\/p>\n
Also effective that date will be the appointment of Lisa Yost to manager of student disability services. She has worked at UT for more than 20 years, most recently as an accessibility specialist.<\/p>\n
\u201cLisa will ensure that all relevant student Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations are delivered promptly and completely,\u201d Cutri wrote. \u201cShe will be the primary point of contact for faculty members that have questions or need assistance in providing accommodations to students.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
