The chain was coordinated through Rees\u2019 nonprofit organization Alliance for Paired Donation.<\/p>\n<p>The five-page story, which mentions UT Medical Center, leads off a special section titled \u201cHeroes of the Year.\u201d The issue hit newsstands last week and has actor Johnny Depp, the \u201csexiest man alive in \u201909,\u201d on the cover. Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utoledo.edu\/offices\/communications\/pdfs\/people11.30.09.pdf\">here<\/a> to see the story.<\/p>\n<p>A People editor and photographer spent a weekend in October at UT meeting, interviewing and photographing Rees and the kidney chain participants.<\/p>\n<p>People has a weekly circulation of 3.75 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe University of Toledo and its people are doing so many wonderful things, and this People Magazine feature just underscores the fact that our university and medical center are on the move,\u201d said Lawrence J.
