{"id":43518,"date":"2017-02-14T03:48:30","date_gmt":"2017-02-14T07:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utnews.utoledo.edu\/?p=43518"},"modified":"2020-10-21T14:42:42","modified_gmt":"2020-10-21T18:42:42","slug":"orthopaedic-symposium-set-for-feb-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/02_14_2017\/orthopaedic-symposium-set-for-feb-18","title":{"rendered":"Orthopaedic symposium set for Feb. 18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Learning to diagnose and treat orthopaedic conditions of various complexities of the spine will be the topic of a symposium Saturday, Feb. 18, on UT\u2019s Health Science Campus. <\/p>\n<p>The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Dowling Hall Room 2315.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/05_02_2016\/ut-health-nurses-to-participate-in-active-shooter-training-simulation-may-4\/business-hlogo-1c-black-4\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-39588\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/UT-Health-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"168\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-39588\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/UT-Health-logo.jpg 360w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/UT-Health-logo-300x140.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a>The symposium will focus on discussing physical examination; identifying and diagnosing spine conditions; reviewing radiographic findings; and discussing operative and non-operative treatments.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters will include members of the UT Orthopaedic Department: Dr. Nabil Ebraheim, Dr. Hossein Elgafy, Dr. Mustafa Khan, Dr. Joshua Schwind and Dr. Marshall Gillette.<\/p>\n<p>Local physicians and clinicians working in primary care, internal medicine, orthopaedics, pain management, neurology, neurosurgery, and physical and occupational therapy are encouraged to attend. <\/p>\n<p>The cost of the course is $25, and pre-registration is preferred as seating is limited.
