{"id":49543,"date":"2018-04-19T03:58:53","date_gmt":"2018-04-19T07:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utnews.utoledo.edu\/?p=49543"},"modified":"2018-04-18T14:18:44","modified_gmt":"2018-04-18T18:18:44","slug":"marathon-to-affect-traffic-parking-lots-beginning-april-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/04_19_2018\/marathon-to-affect-traffic-parking-lots-beginning-april-19","title":{"rendered":"Marathon to affect traffic, parking lots beginning April 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay and 5K will affect traffic on and surrounding UT\u2019s Main Campus Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22. <\/p>\n<p>As a result, several parking lots will be impacted beginning the evening of Thursday, April 19, through Sunday, April 22.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/?attachment_id=49544\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-49544\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/marathon-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"159\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-49544\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/marathon-logo.png 540w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/marathon-logo-300x88.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>Students and others who may be traveling on or around campus are reminded to plan accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club, more than 8,000 runners are expected to participate this weekend in the events, which will have a major impact on traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Lot 10 will close beginning Thursday, April 19, from 9 p.m. through Sunday, April 22, at 4 p.m. Cars remaining in this lot will be towed Friday, April 20, at 5 a.m. Lot 12W also will close at 9 p.m. Thursday and open at 4 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, April 21, East Rocket Drive will close from 9 to 9:45 a.m. There will be no access in or out of parking lots 18 or 9 during this time. <\/p>\n<p>Also on Saturday, Stadium Drive will close from 7:30 a.m. until noon.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, April 22, Lots 3, 4 and 18 will be for volunteer parking only; cars will be unable to leave until after the race is complete, approximately 1 p.m. No parking will be permitted in Lots 5, 6 and 10. <\/p>\n<p>Also on Sunday, Secor Road will close at 4 a.m. between Bancroft Street and Valleston Parkway, and West Towerview Boulevard will not be accessible. At 7 a.m. Sunday, Secor will be closed from Kenwood Boulevard to Dorr Street. The entrance to Lot 25 from Secor will be open after 8 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, several lots will not allow cars in or out on Sunday from 6:45 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m.; these include Lots 1N, 1S, 2 East Ramp, 3, 4, 8 (both entrances), 9 and 26.
