It starts with the question \u201cCan you love an eagle, tame or wild,\u201d urges listeners to \u201cBring me all of your dreams,\u201d and concludes with a rollicking \u201cFantasy in purple.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/06_04_2018\/toledo-choral-society-to-honor-legendary-jazz-pianist-at-scholarship-benefit-concert\/tributes\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-50050\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/TRIBUTES.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"504\" height=\"740\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-50050\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/TRIBUTES.jpg 504w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/TRIBUTES-204x300.jpg 204w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 504px) 100vw, 504px\" \/><\/a>During the concert, the innovative jazz spirit of Tatum will be honored by world-renowned guest pianist Alvin Waddles, a Detroit native. <\/p>\n<p>The show also will feature traditional American folk songs and gospel music.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Napierala, musical director of the Toledo Choral Society, will conduct the concert. He received bachelor of education and master of music performance degrees from the University.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Toledo Choral Society is a nonprofit organization aimed at contributing to the local musical community through the performance of significant choral works. It is Toledo\u2019s oldest continuously performing musical organization, with its 100th anniversary celebration to be held during the 2019-20 concert season.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from this concert will benefit the Bernard Sanchez Memorial Scholarship at The University of Toledo.
