{"id":51167,"date":"2018-09-10T00:01:13","date_gmt":"2018-09-10T04:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utnews.utoledo.edu\/?p=51167"},"modified":"2018-09-10T13:38:00","modified_gmt":"2018-09-10T17:38:00","slug":"rocket-families-unite-for-family-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/09_10_2018\/rocket-families-unite-for-family-weekend","title":{"rendered":"Rocket families unite for family weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Toledo invites families of students to visit Friday through Sunday, Sept. 21 to 23, promising free food and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Parents and family are invited to attend that weekend\u2019s football game for free; the Rockets will play Nevada Saturday, Sept. 22, at noon in the Glass Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>There also will be free food at a tailgate before the game for anybody attending the family weekend. Jimmy G&#8217;s BBQ, Rusty&#8217;s Road Trip, and Holey Toledough Doughnuts food trucks will all be in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The band Distant Cousinz will be featured at the family tailgate as well. The group known for its wide range of music will play from 7 to 9 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>Families planning to visit and partake in the festivities must RSVP by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.
