Northwest Ohio business owners will gain the insight of leading experts to help them through these difficult times during a special program, \u201cThe Future of Your Business in a Recovering Economy: 2010 Outlook,\u201d sponsored by The University of Toledo Center for Family and Privately Held Business, and the UT College of Business Administration Alumni Affiliate.<\/p>\n
It will be held at the Toledo Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9.<\/p>\n
Featured speakers will be:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Patrick E. Rea, former Midwest region administrator for the United States Small Business Administration;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Gene Collins, executive-in-residence in the UT College of Business Administration and former manager of Citigroup\u2019s trading desks on Wall Street, where he managed more than $24 billion in assets;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Peter A. Gold, principal, the Gold Group, which consults with business, higher education and national decision-makers; and<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Thomas Gutteridge, dean of the UT College of Business Administration, who will moderate the program.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year at this time these panelists offered area business owners helpful ideas for getting through the struggling economy,\u201d said Debbe Skutch, director of the UT Center for Family and Privately Held Business. \u201cServing our role as an important economic and business resource to the community, we wanted to bring these experts together again to guide business owners who want to know when it’s safe to invest in new projects and begin hiring again as the economy begins to recover.\u201d<\/p>\n
