{"id":58256,"date":"2020-03-09T03:42:19","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T07:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/?p=58256"},"modified":"2020-03-02T14:47:44","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T18:47:44","slug":"focus-on-nature-winners-of-lake-erie-photo-contest-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/03_09_2020\/focus-on-nature-winners-of-lake-erie-photo-contest-announced","title":{"rendered":"Focus on Nature: Winners of Lake Erie Photo Contest Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 135 spectacular shots were submitted for the 10th annual Lake Erie Photo Contest.<\/p>\n<p>Winners in three categories were announced recently during a ceremony at the Lake Erie Center.<\/p>\n<p>The contest\u2019s theme, \u201cThe Nature of Our Region: From Oak Openings to Maumee Bay,\u201d invited photography enthusiasts to submit up to three shots featuring nature scenes throughout northwest Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>First-place winners received a $25 prize, and the best of show honoree took home $100. Entries are on display in the lobby of the Lake Erie Center.<\/p>\n<p>Listed by category, the winners are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Best of Show \u2014 Eric Crowther;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adult \u2014 Phil Cogar;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Teen (13 to 18 years old) \u2014 Eric Crowther; and<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Youth (7 to 12 years old) \u2014 Jessica Watts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to seeing the amazing submissions for this contest every year,\u201d said Rachel Lohner, education program manager for the Lake Erie Center. \u201cLocal photographers explore our wonderful region and capture cool aspects
