All vehicles on campus are required to have a permit for fall, spring and summer semesters.

“We are excited to welcome our UToledo students to campus,” said Sherri Kaspar, director of parking and transportation services in Auxiliary Services.

Permit types
Student permit types are assigned based on earned credit hours and residential status. To learn more about your permit type, visit the Parking and Transportation website. Please note that the first letter of your permit is your permit type. For example, if your permit reads “K Underclassman Commuter” your permit type is “K.”

“If a semester-long permit doesn’t suit your needs, we offer day passes for $5, and new this year, a monthly permit,” Kaspar said. “Valid for a calendar month, monthly permits allow you to park in C parking areas for $50 a month. Additionally, we offer a pay-by-the-hour option through the ParkMobile app. This app can be downloaded through any app store and used on campus, as well as throughout Toledo.”

Where to park
Alphabet letters indicating permit types are listed on signs at the entrance of each lot and on the light poles. Visit the Parking and Transportation website to view a complete campus map. Yellow and white lines differentiate between employee and student parking. Students may park in white-lined spaces that pertain to their permit type. Green spaces on campus are for customers of retail establishments, including the Gateway Plaza and the Stubborn Brother Pizza Bar. To avoid receiving a citation, always face your license plate to the drive aisle.

Parking after 4 p.m.
Registered UToledo permit holders may park in most parking areas after 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. UToledo parking permits are still required to park on campus.

Exceptions include:

• Spaces for persons with disabilities, and spaces that are reserved and metered, enforced 24/7;

• Area 14 and 44A;

• Area 25N and 27A (no overnight parking from 1 to 6 a.m.); and

• Patient areas.

Alternative transportation
If you are looking to leave your car at home, check out alternative transportation methods available on campus.
