Dr. Phillip “Flapp” Cockrell, UToledo\u2019s vice president for student affairs and vice provost, was named to the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Foundation\u2019s Diamond Honoree Class of 2021.<\/p>\n

Cockrell<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cWords cannot express how overwhelmed I am to receive this honor,\u201d Cockrell said.\u00a0\u201cACPA has been one of the anchors in my personal and professional journey.\u00a0I am forever indebted to this association and the work it does to inspire the lives of others.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ACPA Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1994 that provides philanthropic support for college student educators and furthers the professional development of student affairs and student service professionals.<\/p>\n

In 1999, the ACPA Foundation established the Diamond Honoree Program to recognize college student educators who have made outstanding contributions to the ACPA, student affairs and services, and higher education, and have helped raise funds for future work and scholarships.<\/p>\n

Individuals nominated for consideration are recognized for their outstanding and sustained contributions to higher education and to student affairs. They may be former leaders of the profession, supervisors, teachers or anyone who has had a continued and significant influence on the quality of college students\u2019 experience.<\/p>\n
