{"id":63677,"date":"2021-01-12T11:11:02","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T15:11:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/?p=63677"},"modified":"2021-01-14T09:40:44","modified_gmt":"2021-01-14T13:40:44","slug":"utoledo-announces-spring-dining-options-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/01_12_2021\/utoledo-announces-spring-dining-options-changes","title":{"rendered":"UToledo Announces Spring Dining Options, Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students and employees at The University of Toledo will have several on-campus dining options ahead of the first day of classes on Tuesday, Jan. 19.<\/p>\n<p>In the Thompson Student Union:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Starbucks \u2014 Jan. 12-16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Jan. 18, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Subway \u2014 Jan. 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Jan 13-15, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Jan. 16-17, noon to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Wild Pie \u2014 Jan. 13-15, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>At Ottawa East:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 The Market \u2014 Jan. 13-15, 4 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 16-18, noon to midnight.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Dining Hall \u2014 Jan. 16, 4 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 17-18, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>At Parks Tower:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Fooderie \u2014 Jan. 17-18, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Several changes also are coming to the Student Union with the beginning of the spring semester, including the addition of Pom &amp; Honey and Tu Taco. Pom &amp; Honey will offer fresh, customizable salads, grain bowls and wraps. Tu Taco is built around the idea of a street taco cantina, featuring simple soft tacos with Tex-Mex and Cali influences.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the expanded full-service Chick-fil-A is planned to open in the larger restaurant space across the hallway from the existing Chick-fil-A Express. A new burger restaurant called True Burger will replace the express location.<\/p>\n<p>Aligned with the University\u2019s efforts to de-densify and promote social distancing, the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall in the Student Union and the Starbucks location in the Carlson Library will be closed during the spring semester.<\/p>\n<p>Students with a meal plan will continue to be able to use their weekly meal exchange swipes at Wild Pie, Pom &amp; Honey, Tu Taco, the Market at Student Union, the Market at Ottawa East and Freshens at North Engineering. The five weekly meal exchanges have been increased to 10 for spring semester so that students can take advantage of the additional dining options available in the Student Union.
