The University of Toledo, in partnership with The University of Toledo Medical Center, will begin distributing COVID-19 vaccines directly to faculty, staff and students with the first mass vaccination clinic scheduled for Thursday, April 1, in Savage Arena.<\/p>\n

A limited number of vaccines will be available for UToledo employees and students age 18 and above. The clinic is not open to the general public and advance registration is required.<\/p>\n

The University will schedule additional clinics in the coming weeks as more vaccine doses become available.<\/p>\n

Employees and students will soon receive a notification through their UToledo email address allowing them to schedule an appointment at the April 1 clinic, which will take place from 5 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

Appointments are first-come, first-served, and those vaccinated on April 1 must be available to receive their second dose on April 22.<\/p>\n

Because of the limited number of vaccines available at this first event, students and employees who have already signed up for vaccinations elsewhere are asked to keep those appointments.<\/p>\n

The University will collect insurance information, but participants will not have any out-of-pocket expenses.<\/p>\n

Information about additional vaccine clinics for students and employees will be shared as it becomes available.<\/p>\n

UTMC will continue to serve as one of Ohio\u2019s COVID-19 vaccination sites providing vaccines to the general public though its partnership with the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\"\"<\/a>
