{"id":66832,"date":"2021-05-25T03:30:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-25T07:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/?p=66832"},"modified":"2021-05-24T16:22:14","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T20:22:14","slug":"applications-due-may-28-for-national-youth-sports-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/05_25_2021\/applications-due-may-28-for-national-youth-sports-program","title":{"rendered":"Applications Due May 28 for National Youth Sports Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Youth Sports Program at The University of Toledo returns for a three-week summer camp beginning Wednesday, June 2, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utoledo.edu\/hhs\/clinics\/nysp\/nysp-application.html\">online applications accepted<\/a> through Friday, May 28.<\/p>\n<p>The National Youth Sports Program provides a blend of athletic and educational programming for income-eligible children to help them build social skills, confidence and healthy lifestyles, and has been hosted on UToledo\u2019s campus every year since 1969 \u2014 with the exception 2020 when the camp was canceled because of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The camp will be split into four age groups divided into morning and afternoon sessions on campus from June 2 through Tuesday, June 22.<\/p>\n<p>The morning session will be for Group 1 (9-year-olds) and\u00a0Group 2 (10-year-olds) from 9 a.m. until noon weekdays.
