He is scheduled to begin Aug. 30.<\/p>\n<p>Kless joins UTMC from Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, where he most recently served as the interim chief nursing officer and assistant vice president of nursing and professional practice.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_67842\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Kless_Kurt_RN-MSN_0013-copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-67842\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-67842\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Kless_Kurt_RN-MSN_0013-copy-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Kless_Kurt_RN-MSN_0013-copy-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Kless_Kurt_RN-MSN_0013-copy-682x1024.jpg 682w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Kless_Kurt_RN-MSN_0013-copy.jpg 1011w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-67842\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kurt Kless<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In that role, he was responsible for the nursing practice at two hospitals \u2014 a 480-bed Level 1 trauma center in downtown Atlanta and a 200-bed community hospital in the city\u2019s southern suburbs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKurt brings to UTMC a valuable combination of clinical skills and leadership experience,\u201d said Rick Swaine, chief executive officer of UTMC. \u201cWe are excited to have him join our team as we continue to invest in and strengthen our hospital for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A native of Cleveland, Kless earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University. He also holds a master of science in nursing and a master of business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComing back home to Ohio was a long-standing goal for my family.
