The committee representing the diverse campus community will meet for the first time Friday, Nov. 5 with UToledo President Gregory Postel and Karen Bjorkman, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, to kick off the process.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Bjorkman, the planning committee includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Jonathan Bossenbroek, professor of ecology and member of Graduate Council<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Timothy Brakel, professor of music education and past-president of Faculty Senate<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Anne Fulkerson, assistant vice provost for institutional research<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. David Giovannucci, professor of neurosciences and member of University Research Council<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Tracey Hidalgo, assistant director in the Office of International Students and Scholar Services<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Doug Huffner, associate vice president for risk management<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Jason Huntley, associate professor of microbiology and Health Science Campus representative on Faculty Senate<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Chi-Chi Igwe, undergraduate student studying biochemistry and member of Student Government<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Mark Merrick, dean of the College of Health and Human Services<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 James Molnar, web and digital media specialist for the College of Medicine and Life Sciences and past-chair of Professional Staff Association<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Patrick Naranjo, College of Law student and member of Graduate Student Association<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Susan Palmer, The University of Toledo Foundation trustee and former UToledo trustee<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 William Pierce, associate vice president for alumni engagement<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Jonathan Rethorn, engineering college computing director<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Angie Roach, director of scholarships and financial aid systems<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Marc Seigar, dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Chris Stesney-Ridenour, UTMC chief operating officer<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dr. Jami Taylor, professor of political science and member of Graduate Council<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Valerie Walston, interim vice president for student affairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The collaborative strategic planning process will create a new plan to follow the existing strategic plan that guided the University from 2017 to 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to have a new strategic plan in place before next fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Input from the campus community is welcomed throughout the process by email to <a href=\"mailto:strategicplanning@utoledo.edu\">strategicplanning@utoledo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A committee has been named to lead the new strategic planning process and will meet for the first time Nov. 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":284,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1,258,7],"tags":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/69715"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/284"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=69715"}],"version-history":[{"count":6,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/69715\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":69971,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/69715\/revisions\/69971"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=69715"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=69715"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=69715"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
