More than 30 student-created posters and creative projects representing various academic colleges were on display all week.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_70677\" style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Research-Awards-STORY-and-EMAIL.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-70677\" class=\"wp-image-70677\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Research-Awards-STORY-and-EMAIL.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Research-Awards-STORY-and-EMAIL.jpg 748w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Research-Awards-STORY-and-EMAIL-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-70677\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eryn Close\u2019s research project, \u201cPre-Pubertal Long-Distance Runners Demonstrate Greater Movement Variability,\u201d took first place at the recent annual Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Exhibition.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A special closing awards ceremony was held on Friday, Dec. 10. Vice President for Research and Professor of Geography Dr. Frank Calzonetti gave the closing remarks about the various roles research plays at UToledo.<\/p>\n<p>Wade Lee-Smith, associate professor and president of UToledo\u2019s Phi Kappa Phi chapter, assisted with presenting the student awards.
