The University of Toledo has expanded its vaccine registry, enabling members of the campus community to share documentation of COVID-19 booster shots.<\/p>\n
While booster doses are strongly encouraged for all eligible faculty, staff and students, they are not currently included as part of the University\u2019s vaccine requirement.<\/p>\n
However, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services does require<\/a> healthcare facilities receiving CMS funding to have a process for tracking booster shots among their employees, students and trainees.<\/p>\n Employees and clinical learners at The University of Toledo Medical Center and other University-affiliated clinical sites who have received a booster shot should upload documentation through the University\u2019s vaccine registry portal<\/a> by Monday, Feb. 14.<\/p>\n All other faculty, staff and students who have received a booster dose are encouraged to upload proof through the secure registry.<\/p>\n To submit documentation, individuals need to have a photo of their vaccine card showing the date and vaccine type and must have already submitted proof of their initial vaccine course.<\/p>\n COVID-19 booster doses are available on campus Monday through Friday at the Main Campus Pharmacy or the Outpatient Pharmacy in the UTMC Medical Pavilion on Health Science Campus.<\/p>\n Currently, individuals are eligible to receive a booster five months after receiving a second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or two months after receiving the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.<\/p>\n
