In recognition of Diversity Month, The University of Toledo is engaging the campus community throughout April with campus events and other opportunities to learn more about our different cultures and traditions and to further our mutual respect and empathy.<\/p>\n

Among the calendar of activities: Spring Chinese Culture Night from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the Thompson Student Union Auditorium as part of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month; \u201cPledge to End Antisemitism\u201d from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in Centennial Mall as part of Jewish Heritage Month; and the 28th\u00a0Take Back the Night event from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the Thompson Student Union Ingman Room.<\/p>\n

In addition to the planned campus activities, the University invites students, faculty and staff to recognize diversity and create a deeper understanding of different cultures, traditions and backgrounds through their own independent activities, including:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Watching a multicultural movie;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Supporting a minority-owned business;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Trying a new cuisine;<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Listening to cultural music; and<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0 Having a conversation with someone from a different background.<\/p>\n
