A golf cart shuttle service will be available to transport guests and their packages to and from their vehicles.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A spotlight of nearly 100 artists from around the country, the free, public event will feature a range of artwork that includes acrylic, glass, pen and ink, oil, mixed media, metals, photography, ceramics and jewelry for viewing and purchasing with either cash or credit card directly at an artist\u2019s booth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArt on the Mall is one of our signature events that draws thousands of people each year. This is not just an alumni event but it\u2019s truly a community event for all ages,&#8221; said William Pierce, associate vice president of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. &#8220;There is something for everyone to enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Art on the Mall also will offer activities and entertainment throughout the day, including a young artist area for children and live music, as well as dining options: Big C\u2019s Barbeque, Karen Ann\u2019s Kettle Korn, K and K Funnel Cakes, Rosie\u2019s Rolling Chef, Snowie Daze and The Petite Fleet.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from the Detroit Institute of Arts will jury the artists\u2019 work. Prizes will be given to the top artists, and UToledo\u2019s Best of Show award will be presented to an artist who is affiliated with the University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe artwork is simply amazing,\u201d Pierce said. \u201cThe talented artists that participate really make this show one of the best in the region, and many artists share positive feedback with us about their experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Free parking is available in lots 1N, 1S, 2, 10 and 13.
