The Toledo women’s basketball team has earned Special Mention distinctions from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in the organization’s 2021-22 Division I Academic Honor Roll.<\/p>\n
With a cumulative team GPA of 3.519, the Rockets rank 35th\u00a0among all Division I women’s basketball programs. Toledo’s 3.585 GPA this past spring set a program record for highest-ever semester GPA, and its eight Academic All-MAC selections were the most ever in a season as well.<\/p>\n
A whopping 11 student-athletes earned spots on the Dean’s List with a 3.5 GPA or higher, and three Rockets posted perfect 4.0 GPAs last semester:\u00a0Caily Bolser,\u00a0Nan Garcia and\u00a0Sammi Mikonowicz. Joining those three on the Dean’s List were\u00a0Mariah Copeland,\u00a0Yaniah Curry,\u00a0Ella Doherty,\u00a0Khera Goss,\u00a0Halle Idowu,\u00a0Jayda Jansen,\u00a0Hannah Noveroske and\u00a0Sophia Wiard.<\/p>\n
The WBCA Academic Honor Roll recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
