The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) awarded a 2021-2022 Outstanding Chapter Award designation to The University of Toledo SHRM student chapter for providing superior growth and development opportunities to its student members. This is the highest designation that a chapter can receive.<\/p>\n

The SHRM Student Chapter Merit Award program encourages the development of more effective student chapters and distinguishes outstanding activities and projects. Chapters are recognized based on operations, chapter programming and professional development of members, support of the human resource profession and SHRM engagement.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>SHRM student chapters have the opportunity to earn an award based on the number of activities they complete during the merit award cycle, the most recent one of which lasted from May 1, 2021, to April 30.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so humbled to receive this highest honor from National SHRM. It is a true testament to the quality of our students and the quality of our human resources program in the Neff College of Business and Innovation at The University of Toledo,\u201d said Dr. Jenell Wittmer, associate professor of management and SHRM faculty advisor. “I have been the advisor of our UToledo SHRM student chapter since 2013, and I am always impressed with the leadership, professionalism and talent of our chapter members. It is a student-run organization, and all the credit goes to them.”<\/p>\n

The UToledo chapter has been recognized with an award from the Society for Human Resource Management every year since 2013.<\/p>\n
