Comedian Colin Jost, the award-winning head writer at \u201cSaturday Night Live,\u201d will perform at The University of Toledo this fall.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale this week for his show scheduled for Friday, Sept. 8 at Savage Arena.<\/p>\n

\"PromotionalTickets are available for $35, $45 and $55, as well as a $60 VIP option, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 9. Tickets for UToledo students are $25 and $35 and are available presale starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8.<\/p>\n

Tickets can be purchased at the Savage Arena Box office, by phone at 419.530.GOLD (4653) or online at the UTRockets.com\/tix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jost joined Saturday Night Live as a writer in 2005 and became co-head writer in 2012. He has won five Writers Guild Awards, two Peabody Awards and has been nominated for 12 Emmy Awards for his writing on “SNL.”<\/p>\n

Since 2014, he has co-anchored \u201cWeekend Update\u201d alongside fellow “SNL” cast member Michael Che. Jost and Che hosted special editions of \u201cWeekend Update\u201d on MSNBC during the 2016 Republican and Democratic national conventions as well as the primetime \u201cWeekend Update Summer Edition\u201d in 2017. In 2018, they co-hosted the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n

Jost has appeared in the comedy films \u201cHow to Be Single,\u201d \u201cComing 2 America\u201d and \u201cTom and Jerry,\u201d and wrote 2015\u2019s \u201cStaten Island Summer,\u201d a coming-of-age comedy released by Paramount Pictures and produced by Lorne Michaels.<\/p>\n

In July 2020, Jost published his memoir \u201cA Very Punchable Face,\u201d a series of essays that document pivotal moments in his life including growing up in Staten Island in a family of firefighters, commuting three hours a day to high school and attending Harvard while Facebook was created.<\/p>\n
