The University of Toledo’s Klar Leadership Academy is calling on volunteers and donors to join its annual hunger-relief event Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and 17, in the Health Education Building on Main Campus.<\/p>\n

Held in partnership with Feed My Starving Children, a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children in need, the event has a goal of packing more than 100,000 meals for families around the world struggling with food insecurity.<\/p>\n

The University of Toledo’s Klar Leadership Academy is calling on volunteers and donors to join its annual hunger-relief event Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and 17, in the Health Education Building on Main Campus.<\/p><\/div>\n

More than 500 volunteers are needed to assemble and pack meals. Financial donations also are needed to purchase meal ingredients.<\/p>\n

To register for a two-hour shift, or to donate, visit the Feed My Starving Children UToledo event page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“This event is more than just a UToledo initiative \u2014 it’s a community effort,\u201d said John Anderson III, director of the Klar Leadership Academy. \u201cWe believe that when we come together, united by a common goal, we can achieve anything. So, whether you’re a student, faculty member, community member or simply someone who cares about making a difference, we invite you to join us. Together, we can show the world the power of compassion and collaboration.”<\/p>\n

Established in 2015, the Klar Leadership Academy empowers UToledo undergraduate students of all disciplines to change the world.
