Cooperstock<\/p><\/div>Andrew Cooperstock will visit the University as the next guest performer for the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series.<\/p>\n

He will give a master class Saturday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon, and take the stage for a recital Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. Both events will take place in the Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall.<\/p>\n

Cooperstock will present a recital program recognizing the birth-year anniversaries of W.F. Bach, Chopin, Barber and Schumann. <\/p>\n

He is a senior member of the keyboard faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder and chair of the Piano Department at Rocky Ridge Music Center.<\/p>\n

Heralded as a technically impeccable and musically profound pianist, Cooperstock performs widely as soloist and chamber musician; he has appeared on five continents and in most of the 50 states.<\/p>\n

He has won the National Federation of Music Clubs Artist Competition and the New Orleans International Piano Competition, and has performed at the United Nations.<\/p>\n

An advocate for new music, Cooperstock has premiered works by several American composers, including Lowell Liebermann and Aaron Copland.<\/p>\n
