In his role, Sadeghian will lead the optimization of healthcare IT systems across the University. He is tasked with advancing clinical operations; ensuring high-quality care; transforming care delivery; and optimizing the experiences of patients, physicians and staff.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TrackChangeTextInsertion TrackedChange SCXW73780425 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\">Over the past decade, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackChangeTextInsertion TrackedChange SCXW73780425 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\">Sadeghian has been deeply involved in integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into healthcare systems, with a focused effort over the last two years. His work has been pivotal in alleviating physician burnout, enhancing clinical efficiency, reducing administrative burdens, and improving patient satisfaction and outcomes. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackChangeTextInsertion TrackedChange SCXW73780425 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\">Sadeghian is also an active educator and author, having <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\">written<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW73780425 BCX0\"> several books on leadership and AI, contributing to the field&#8217;s understanding and application of these transformative technologies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP TrackedChange SCXW73780425 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:0,&quot;335551620&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining UToledo, Sadeghian was the principal healthcare IT strategist for MITConn Advisors and has held positions as the chief medical informatics officer at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey, and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California.<\/p>\n<p>A board-certified pediatrician, Sadeghian received his doctor of medicine degree from St. George\u2019s University in Grenada, Washington. He also holds a physicians executive master of business administration from Auburn University, a master of science in biomedical informatics through post-doctoral training from University of Pittsburgh and a master of science in clinical informatics and patient-centered technology through a clinical informatics fellowship from University of Washington.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, several interim leader appointments have been made.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jason Schroeder, a neurosurgeon at The University of Toledo Medical Center and professor of surgery in the UToledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, will serve as interim chief physician executive to lead the UToledo Physicians Clinical Faculty. He will provide interim vision, strategy, executive leadership and clinical oversight for the University\u2019s physician group.<\/p>\n<p>A search is expected in the coming months for an executive vice president for health affairs who will be responsible for selecting the next permanent chief physician executive.<\/p>\n<p>Schroeder joined UToledo in 2013 from the Cleveland Clinic where he completed a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology. He has a doctor of medicine degree from Ohio State University, a master\u2019s degree in bioethics from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor\u2019s degree in chemical engineering from University of Notre Dame.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Bethany Ziviski has been selected to lead UToledo\u2019s Department of Human Resources as interim senior associate vice president and chief human resources officer. She was previously executive director of labor, employee relations and compliance.<\/p>\n<p>A UToledo alumna, Ziviski holds a juris doctorate from UToledo and has been an HR leader at the University since 2021 and previously had been member of the team from 2017 to 2019. Ziviski also has experience managing human resources for Toledo Refining Co. and ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Breanne Simkin, a higher education consultant with Huron Consulting Group, will provide interim leadership of UToledo\u2019s enrollment operations. A national search is currently underway for a new vice president for enrollment management. Prior to joining Huron, she was an enrollment leader at several higher education institutions including Excelsior College, Lindenwood University and Notre Dame of Maryland University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. R.
