The integrated co-op program is one of the reasons that students come to The University of Toledo College of Engineering \u2014\u00a0as well as why companies list us as one of their target universities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur UToledo engineering students and graduates are proving that they possess the University\u2019s new brand, The Power To Do, in the workforce and are truly making an impact on the global economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jakell Wilson<em>, <\/em>university relations manager for The Lubrizol Corp., said UToledo engineering students, whether in co-op programs or in full-time positions, help to advance the company\u2019s culture and goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey come well prepared to tackle the work at hand and show a strong commitment to learning, collaboration and leadership,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cSome of our co-op program leaders themselves come from The University of Toledo, and they are always eager to support the student experience and our student program. Their dedication makes them invaluable assists to our team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adam Pace, director of sales and strategic planning for Monroe Environmental, said the company\u2019s partnership with the College of Engineering has been invaluable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have hired several excellent full-time employees who graduated from UToledo \u2013 with some having worked for us as co-ops and others coming to us after gaining relevant experience with other high-quality companies,\u201d Pace said. \u201cThe students are impressive candidates for real-world, professional work. Their co-op experience accelerates their growth personally and professionally and makes them ready to contribute in a meaningful way on day one.<\/p>\n<p>The Career Expo is a \u2018can\u2019t-miss\u2019 event for Monroe Environmental because of the quality of the engineers across so many professional disciplines.
