Neff College of Business and Innovation, has been appointed to represent students on The University of Toledo Board of Trustees.

“This opportunity is an honor of a lifetime for me,” Boley said. “Not only do I have the chance to represent our students but our faculty, alumni and community. I hope that at the end of my term on July 1, 2026, I can look back and know that I did the right thing and kept the University’s mission and values at the forefront of my thought process.

“I want to be a voice for students in the boardroom. This position is bigger than any one person. I think in this role it is important to understand the role isn’t about me, it’s about the students and what I can do to represent them.”

Boley has long served in leadership roles, including senior class president at Celina High School, and at UToledo as a member of the Presidential Ambassadors, Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity and Levis Leadership.

And as a Rocket, he landed back-to-back summer internships in the direct sales department for UnitedHealth Group in Indianapolis, as well as Learfield’s Rocket Sports Properties, working closely with sponsorships for Toledo Athletics.

“UToledo has provided me with a great education and a strong foundation for success,” said Boley, who will continue working in the Athletic Department this fall. “From the start, I’ve been fortunate to learn from faculty who are passionate. The University’s reputation and name recognition have also been instrumental — landing a Top 5 Fortune 500 internship as a freshman is a testament to the strength of that UToledo degree. Also, the opportunities for involvement and leadership on campus were very beneficial to me.”

As someone who grew up as a Toledo Rockets fan and is the 11th family member to attend UToledo, Boley said his connection to The University of Toledo runs deep.

“UToledo is more than just a university to me — it’s home,” he said. “I’ve made lifelong friendships and created countless memories that will stay with me long after graduation.

“Rockets share a unique bond that extends far beyond campus — whether you’re wearing UToledo gear or if you just mention the University, you’re likely to encounter fellow alumni who are eager to share their own experiences,” Boley added. “This sense of connection fosters a great environment for students and alumni.”

<img width="120" height="120" src="https://news.utoledo.edu/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Nate-Boley-STORY-150x150.jpg" class="alignright tfe wp-post-image" alt="Headshot of Nate Boley, a junior studying professional sales at the John B. and Lillian E.
