{"id":93115,"date":"2025-06-10T03:30:44","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T07:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/?p=93115"},"modified":"2025-06-17T08:31:41","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T12:31:41","slug":"5-softball-players-named-to-csc-academic-all-district-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/index.php\/06_10_2025\/5-softball-players-named-to-csc-academic-all-district-team","title":{"rendered":"5 Softball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Toledo softball program had five student-athletes named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization recently announced.<\/p>\n<p>Eli Enriquez,\u00a0Sidney Griffith,\u00a0Eliza Maloney,\u00a0Madison McKay\u00a0and\u00a0Kendra VanderLugt\u00a0earned the academic honor. Enriquez, Griffith and VanderLugt were named to the All-District Team for the second time while Maloney and McKay are first-time honorees.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-93116\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/25_SB_CSC_ALL_DISTRICT-SIDE.jpg\" alt=\"Graphic announcing that 5 on softball team named to CSC All-District Team.\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/25_SB_CSC_ALL_DISTRICT-SIDE.jpg 748w, https:\/\/news.utoledo.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/25_SB_CSC_ALL_DISTRICT-SIDE-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Griffith and VanderLugt graduated in May 2024. Griffith earned her degree in human resource management with a 3.955 GPA while VanderLugt graduated with a degree in early childhood education and a 3.968 GPA.<\/p>\n<p>Enriquez carries a 3.797 GPA as a management major, Maloney has a 4.00 GPA as a health sciences major while McKay boats a 3.949 GPA as a speech language pathology major.<\/p>\n<p>VanderLugt will move to the ballot for Academic All-America. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, June 17.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team recognized the nation&#8217;s top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
