UToledo faculty and staff packed the Savage Arena entrance Friday to greet and cheer on first-year students arriving for Rocky\u2019s Welcome, the University’s annual new student convocation<\/span> ceremony.<\/p>\n

The event \u2014 part of Rocket Welcome Weekend \u2014 introduces incoming freshmen to key leaders and campus traditions, helping to build a sense of connection and community ahead of the first day of fall classes.<\/p>\n

Anna McClure, a freshman in radiation therapy, zip lines with UToledo President James Holloway at the CAP Carnival Friday evening at Carter Field. The carnival, which was for all students, featured rides, games and food.<\/p>\n
