Free on-campus flu shots are available starting today for faculty, staff and students at The University of Toledo.<\/p>\n

On Main Campus, influenza vaccines will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays at the University Health Center.<\/p>\n

UToledo is offering free vaccines for faculty, staff and students today through Nov. 26.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Health Science Campus, vaccines will be offered Tuesdays through Fridays at the outpatient pharmacy in the University of Toledo Medical Center Medical Pavilion. Students and employees can get a vaccine Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to noon; Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m.; and Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.<\/p>\n

Additional pop-up vaccine clinics will be held throughout October and November on both campuses. A full schedule is available on the University\u2019s Flu Prep webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

University policy requires annual flu vaccines for all healthcare workers at UTMC and other UToledo Health clinics, as well as on-campus students and employees who are not represented by a bargaining unit.<\/p>\n

Those required to be vaccinated must have documented proof of vaccination or an approved exemption prior to Monday, Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

Exemptions are considered on a case-by-case basis for documented medical contraindications or sincerely held religious beliefs. Those seeking an exemption must submit their request by the end of the day on Wednesday, Oct. 15.<\/p>\n

Exemption forms are available for download at utvaccinereg.utoledo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Appointments are not needed to receive a vaccine on campus, though employees and students do need to complete a consent form, available at influenza.utoledo.edu<\/a>, prior to getting their shot.<\/p>\n

Those who receive their vaccine from UToledo will have their proof of vaccination uploaded automatically. Individuals who receive their vaccine elsewhere must provide proof of vaccination through utvaccinereg.utoledo.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
