The University of Toledo Rocket Career Center is back with another full slate of events for\u00a0BOOsting Your Career Week, running\u00a0Tuesday, Oct. 28, through Thursday, Oct. 30. The week is designed to help Rockets connect, grow and prepare for their future careers, while having some fall fun.<\/p>\n
\u201cBOOsting Career Week is all about blending fun and career exploration in a way that helps students feel comfortable connecting with our team and the many resources available to them,\u201d said Shelly Drouillard, director of the Rocket Career Center. \u201cBy combining seasonal favorites like cider, pumpkin painting, and our campus candy crawl with career-focused conversations, we\u2019re helping Rockets see that career development can be engaging, approachable and even a little festive. Our goal is to make sure every student knows we\u2019re here to support their journey \u2014 from their first year to their first job and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n
BOOsting Your Career Week Events include:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Tuesday, Oct. 28: <\/strong>Cider and Careers\u00a0<\/a>from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rocket Career Center in Thompson Student Union Room 1550. Drop by for free cider, donuts and conversation with career consultants to learn about upcoming opportunities and ways to strengthen your career readiness.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Wednesday, Oct. 29:<\/strong> Mini Pumpkin Painting<\/a> from noon to 2 p.m. Thompson Student Union Room 2500. Take a break between classes to paint a mini pumpkin and meet other students while learning about the resources offered through the Rocket Career Center and the Office of Student Engagement and Connections.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Thursday, Oct. 30:<\/strong> Campus Candy Crawl<\/a> in various Main Campus locations. The week wraps up with a Halloween-themed candy crawl around campus in partnership with the Carlson Library. Students can pick up treats while connecting with offices and departments.<\/p>\n Additionally, the Rocket Career Center team has been creeping around campus to bring you a frightfully fun kickoff to BOOsting Your Career Week with the 2nd Annual Thriller Dance Video,<\/a>\u00a0featuring special guest cameos from across UToledo.
