Now through spring 2026, there will be construction work on the Student Recreation Center to replace its roof, which has reached the end of its life after more than 35 years.<\/p>\n
During the construction project, a section of Area 18 will be used for staging needed materials.<\/p>\n

The construction will be a two-phase project that will begin with the metal\u00a0roof\u00a0section above the track\/courts area. The second phase will be the EPDM\u00a0roof\u00a0section over the pool area, which will include the replacement of the skylights.<\/p>\n
The second phase will start in the spring once weather allows as the EPDM section has temperature requirements. There will be a brief period that the pool will be closed to replace the skylights but otherwise the day-to-day functions of the Student Recreation Center will remain the same.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
