UToledo is encouraging students interested in representing the student body on the Board of Trustees to apply to be a student trustee.<\/p><\/div>\n
Applications are due by noon on Friday, Feb. 27.<\/p>\n
\u201cServing as a student trustee provides a wonderful leadership opportunity for a student to have a voice at the table where decisions are made that impact the University,\u201d said Dr. Sammy Spann, vice provost of student affairs and dean of students.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong>The requirements to apply to serve as a student trustee are:<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above at the time of application;<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Ability to fulfill the two-year term commitment with UToledo student status;<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Enrolled as a full-time student when nominated or appointed;<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Enrolled for three semesters on a full-time basis at the University prior to nomination and appointment;<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 May not be under conduct probation or other disciplinary action; and<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0 Must be a registered Ohio voter.<\/p>\n To apply, a student needs to complete the application available online on the\u00a0Board of Trustees website<\/a>. The application form includes a place for students to provide information on their time at UToledo, including any volunteer work, internships or activities.<\/p>\n Applications are being accepted for one of two student trustee positions and must be submitted to the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership (OSIL) located in Thompson Student Union Room 1532, by the noon Friday, March 1, deadline.<\/p>\n The new trustee will replace Nate Boley, who completes his term in June.
