The University of Toledo Medical Center was recently recognized by Nursegrid as one of the country’s top workplaces for nurses.<\/p>\n
Nursegrid, a digital media platform for nurses, surveyed more than 50,000 nurses across the United States, asking them to rate on a five-point scale whether they would recommend their workplace to another nurse.<\/p>\n
UTMC earned a 4.4-star rating, indicating the hospital has created a strong environment where nurses feel supported, respected and motivated to stay.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that when nurses feel supported and engaged, it directly impacts the care we provide,\u201d said Kurt Kless, UTMC’s chief nursing officer. \u201cThis recognition shows that we’re building a workplace where nurses want to stay, grow and continue making a difference for our patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
UTMC was the only hospital in metro Toledo \u2014 and one of just seven in the state of Ohio \u2014 to be recognized on the Nursegrid Great Workplaces for Nurses<\/a> list. In all, 204 hospitals and other healthcare facilities made the list.<\/p>\n The recognition from Nursegrid is the second national accolade UTMC has received this year for its support of its nursing workforce.<\/p>\n
