The University of Toledo in conjunction with its Center for Experiential Learning and Career Services is kicking off The University of Toledo’s First Destination Survey for seniors who will graduate at the end of fall semester.

The brief online survey will gather employment and graduate school admissions data from new college graduates. This data will help UT complete the national ranking surveys and maintain its accreditation and certifications.

The survey consists of less than 10 questions, most with drop-down responses making it fast and easy to complete.

The survey will be emailed to students who have applied for fall graduation beginning Monday, Nov. 14.

In addition, when students reach 100 credit hours, messages will automatically appear on students’ degree audits noting they need to complete the survey. New this semester will be a generic link included on the degree audit that will allow students to access the survey directly from the degree audit. The generic link also will be posted on the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Services First Destination webpage for another way for students to access the survey.

The University of Toledo’s First Destination Survey is required to be completed, even if other program-specific surveys are administered at another time.

“The goal of the survey is to collect and report post-graduation status of newly graduated undergraduate Rockets from all colleges and majors,” said Shelly Drouillard, director of the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Services. “Survey data will provide us with critical information necessary for institutional reporting, career and academic advising, and recruitment.”

The survey also helps the University to comply with the disclosure requirements under Title IV, which requires institutions participating in financial aid programs to disclose specific information to all students regarding job placement.
