Need a break from the end-of-the-semester rush? The Department of World Languages and Cultures is presenting Yoga with Puppies this week.

Bring your own mat for an easy yoga flow session with Lola, the department’s resident emotional support dog.

There are two sessions: Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 1 to 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. Both events will take place in Memorial Field House Room 2420.

“We’re offering this destress event for students — and employees — that want to rest, relax, and get a mental health break before finals start,” said Charlene Gary, secretary in the World Languages and Cultures Department.

Students can drop in anytime during the sessions, and bring their own blanket or comfortable item if they wish to meditate.

“We’ll have an easy flow yoga class for anyone that wants to participate, no experience or flexibility necessary,” Gary said. “Or if students want to drop in during class to sit and meditate or to visit with Lola, that also will be available to them.”

She added, “In order for students to get the most out of our destress event, we just ask that anyone participating maintain a calm and quiet demeanor throughout the event.”
