Students and employees at The University of Toledo will have several on-campus dining options ahead of the first day of classes on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

In the Thompson Student Union:

•  Starbucks — Jan. 12-16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Jan. 18, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

•  Subway — Jan. 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Jan 13-15, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Jan. 16-17, noon to 5 p.m.

•  Wild Pie — Jan. 13-15, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

At Ottawa East:

•  The Market — Jan. 13-15, 4 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 16-18, noon to midnight.

•  Dining Hall — Jan. 16, 4 to 8 p.m. and Jan. 17-18, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

At Parks Tower:

•  Fooderie — Jan. 17-18, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Several changes also are coming to the Student Union with the beginning of the spring semester, including the addition of Pom & Honey and Tu Taco. Pom & Honey will offer fresh, customizable salads, grain bowls and wraps. Tu Taco is built around the idea of a street taco cantina, featuring simple soft tacos with Tex-Mex and Cali influences.

In March, the expanded full-service Chick-fil-A is planned to open in the larger restaurant space across the hallway from the existing Chick-fil-A Express. A new burger restaurant called True Burger will replace the express location.

Aligned with the University’s efforts to de-densify and promote social distancing, the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall in the Student Union and the Starbucks location in the Carlson Library will be closed during the spring semester.

Students with a meal plan will continue to be able to use their weekly meal exchange swipes at Wild Pie, Pom & Honey, Tu Taco, the Market at Student Union, the Market at Ottawa East and Freshens at North Engineering. The five weekly meal exchanges have been increased to 10 for spring semester so that students can take advantage of the additional dining options available in the Student Union. Students can also use Dining Dollars at all retail locations in the Student Union.

Previously announced renovations to the Starbucks area in Carlson Library to add new flooring, additional seating and more power outlets will continue and be ready for students when it reopens.
