¿Listo para bailar? Ready to dance? Get tickets for the Latino Student Union Scholarship Dance, which will take place Saturday, March 26, in the Student Union Auditorium.
Yvonne y Fuego, a Tejano band based in the Midwest, will perform. Singer Yvonne Ramos, a native of Toledo, won the 2015 Tejano Music Award for Best New Female Artist. The group also received the Latin Groove Music Award for Best New Band. Aqui Estoy is the group’s latest disc.
Also taking the stage will be De Salvador Torres, a Grammy-nominated composer known for his special brand of regional Mexican music, blending Norteño, Mariachi and Tejano styles, and Grupo Motivo.
Doors will open at 6 p.m.; music will begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the dance are $10 for students and $20 in advance for the public at 419.530.4606 or $25 at the door.
Proceeds from the 43rd annual event will benefit scholarships for UT Latino students.
