UT plans events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

The University of Toledo Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Program has several events scheduled in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Listed by date, events include:

• Thursday, April 9 — The Clothesline Project, a way for women affected by violence and their family and friends to express emotions and share their experiences by decorating T-shirts, will be on display from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centennial Mall. The rain location will be the Student Union Trimble Lounge.

• Sunday, April 12 — Denim Day Walk/Run from 9 a.m. to noon at UT Medical Center.

• Thursday, April 16 — The Clothesline Project will be on display from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Four Seasons Bistro in UT Medical Center.

• Saturday, April 18 — Take Back the Night at 6 p.m. at UAW Local 12, 2300, Ashland Ave.

• Thursday, April 23 — LGBTQ Panel from 6 to 7 p.m. in Student Union Room 2584.

• Wednesday, April 29 — Denim Awareness Day display from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Union.
